True Norwegian Black Metal (Deluxe Ed.)—Peter Beste
American photographer Peter Beste spent eight years documenting the secretive Norwegian musical subculture known "Black Metal." Its roots stem from a heady blend of horror movies, heavy metal music, Satanism, Paganism, and adolescent angst. Beste's access and insight has been absolutely without precedent, resulting in an amazing photographic journey.
In 2008, this deluxe edition of 666 copies was produced, which comes in a slipcase and is accompanied by a print and ephemera. A few copies of this edition were unearthed recently in a basement and are now on offer.
